I have been excited about Encanto since I first saw the trailer when it came out. And finally seeing it in theaters and the really cute short before it I was all bright eyed and ready. I left the theater looking like the cute little racoon still bright eyed but it hit some feels for me. So this is just my musings and thoughts on both. From one the standpoint of a granddaughter of immigrants of Latin origin as well as a daughter of a immigrant. As well as the odd one out in my family. Both the short and main attraction definitely have beautiful family and individual vibes and in my head the cycles of generational hurt and the healing from it.
