I hope you are all well. Today for some people is very special. It’s in memory of family members and loved ones who served in the military at some point in time. I feel like I have a complicated history with this so it’s interesting to me to see how I end up feeling about it.
When my grandfather served, there was a draft and he was a black man in World War II much like many people he did not enjoy it. He had no great stories just horrible things that he saw and he came back to a country that wasn’t particularly nice to me though so today I think about him and his life.
