The act of starting a painting. It’s the calms before the storm.
I do enjoy feeling more connected to my work. I feel like I leave part of my soul with it for it to bake. Madness, I know.
I have just been doing this forever and there are moments where I don’t care about anything I’m doing so I pause it all. The wall is real. I feel better with it like this. It means so much more when I start it this way.

I miss NC sometimes but still in my big age hate it too. Go figure.
