As the weekends so come the round up. You get me. I do love this new painting. I wish I had this that high from 30 years ago. I’m an old painter and flow with it.
Tom and I had a show earlier this week. It was fun. I think I’ll go back to doing more.

Art has the freedom that sets you free in the quiet moments. All I want in the world is the paint to feel the canvas in that moment. All the colors are flavors.

The week is done and I’m tired. Sometimes that’s what it takes. To make the art you want, you have to give up a few extra years. Miss a few days fully awake. It feels amazing when you have accomplished a thing, a painting. At best, the plans are always to come up with a painting work on the lines. Figure out the shapes and the colors see if there’s a message in there you’d like to sneak in be a part of all the things that you’re working towards and on. I guess I never know what I’ll come next. It just kind of comes out form itself, and there you have it.

And so the week starts again. All the little plans coming together.
I love a good ink wash. It changes the feel of a painting. White backgrounds work but a wash makes it more a full painting some feel. I like how it’s unpredictable but controlled randomness. I like how it goes. Darker but the colors still pop.
