Most folks at various times arrive at the point of “Omigod I don’t know what I’m doing,” and I’m pretty sure that most of the time we deal with it, at least for a while, by overthinking everything — which is a legitimate part of the creative process. It doesn’t feel good, and we certainly don’t like it, but I think it helps to accept it as the valuable experience that it is. Once the brain calms down one usually finds one has moved forward considerably. Really, the end result is worth the discomfort.
