My show is almost here. I have to go to the hardware store today. Got to build some thangs.
It will be a fun and beautiful show. I get to hangout with friends and family and show art never publicly seen before. Lots of art big and small to pick up too.

Weekend rebound

This week was not great but it ended amazingly. I’m struggling with these paints. They are fine but I’m not coming at them 100%.
I feel like I’m working on thing painting to just get the energy out.
I got another rejection letter from a gallery. Two times this year, at least this one didn’t leave an insulting comment. It’s fine, the next one will be the markets. I’m always a favorite at the markets.
I guess even your favorite artist gets humbled a few times a year.
On to the next one.
Just gotta sit by the fire for the rest of the night.

I feel like I’m at a conclusion to this painting. It’s not the sexy way to say it but I just feel done. It doesn’t feel inevitable but done.✅
Sometimes finishing a painting is hard because I can’t see how it ends. I almost always see how it ends before it starts. Sometimes you are a pebble in the ocean, moving and dancing underneath the sea. The next end is a rolling beginning.
