The artist making things. The fear and the love for making.

Always making
The artist making things. The fear and the love for making.

I’m some where in this painting around 8%. I normally only show these to my Patreons
.

I have so much to do with this one.
Someone asked me what I was “afraid of “ once and after a decade of contemplating I can say “losing my memory”. It has things it that are just for me; the powerful stuff, the silly and the sad. Each pull me up from my grave and pull me to painting all night long.
I really hope for a ceasefire soon by the by.
Later Galeras,
Jãws

The journey of this painting is over and I’m happy to feel so full from it. The trip taught me so much and I’m better for it.

I finally named this one.
My art often gets made, shown off and then put away with a few hundred other paintings. I’m trying to rediscover my old paintings and tell little stories about them.
This painting is about my Abuelos. They were both car lovers. One worked on cars a it and the other loved driving them. I was thinking about them a lot last year. They both pasted away a long time ago. Their memories lived in my thoughts a lot.
It might be one of my favorite paintings I have done in a while.

Constant moving forward with ink and paint and madness.
I have this way about me that I feed off of my inner voice trying to talk me out of things. It mostly is a passive thing but some times I’m enraged by the self doubt. I cut bits of it away to see the problem and try to find solutions either on paper with paint and ink or writing it out. This painting was fighting me and then I spoke with Alec and it came to me.

The engine is parts, so paint it in parts.
I like how it is going now. I was tempted to destroy it and start something else but I’m stubborn.

Sometimes painting in the dark helps me see ways the light can’t show me.
More to come mi Gente.
It feels so weird Galeras to make art and not think about it. It’s a reflection of a meditation I made up for myself.

I’ve been getting a lot of messages about this book, so I’m going to break it all down. Little by little in six videos.

I love making art and in many ways shorts get better views then my normal art videos. Enjoy a few of them. Plus I could always use more subscribers.
I love how the music fits the energy.
That pen flick was my Wes Anderson moment. 😂
I love ink but not Inktober. I make stuff all the time. Maybe more than most artists I know.
I love that blue.

Enjoy and have a good day.
