  1. Indeed this piece looks great with and without color… but the upward ‘splashes’ in the middle are much more distinct and offer more impact in blue than in gray. And of course the wonderful shading of the antlers is lost without the color. On the other hand, there’s a primeval flavor to the black and white that’s lost in the colored version. If I had to choose between one or the other I think I’d just want both.
