Weekend rebound

This week was not great but it ended amazingly. I’m struggling with these paints. They are fine but I’m not coming at them 100%.
I feel like I’m working on thing painting to just get the energy out.
I got another rejection letter from a gallery. Two times this year, at least this one didn’t leave an insulting comment. It’s fine, the next one will be the markets. I’m always a favorite at the markets.
I guess even your favorite artist gets humbled a few times a year.
On to the next one.
Just gotta sit by the fire for the rest of the night.

The 747

I’m bringing back an old favorite of mine. A news letter check in. I’m calling it the 747. It’s named after my daughter’s birthday.
So I’m doing ok. I’ve been working on a lot of art and projects and business collaborations with http://Trampt.com. I will be selling prints and paintings. Some new and some older.
Im excited but nervous because I haven’t had the best track record with outside companies but they are good people so its a leap of faith. The prints are limited to a week each. I really hope I sell a few. It would be nice.
The family is doing really well. Alec is starting her voice acting classes. She is very excited and will no doubt be amazing. She is a little nervous but that’s normal with new things.
We have been frequently visiting a little Japanese arcade in Rockville, Md. Alec is really good at it and I mostly suck at it. We give all our prizes to Tom.
He sits in them like a mobile. It’s very cute. Mochi has no enthusiasm about them at all. Her world is very personal and loud some times. Her favorite things are Tom’s sleep spots and then the night fight club starts. Fun sleep times.
The new spot is nice. I got the house a fire pit. It’s peaceful and often quiet.
Growing up in NC has made a good fire pit part of my culture.
Mostly all is well. I hope you are having a good time this Summer and the heat is not hell.

Que lo que? (How goes it?) Alec and I went to the movies and it was wonderful. If you have never seen the Blind Swordsman I highly recommend it. Beautiful movie I watched as a child many times.

How goes it? What’s new? I am trying to finish this painting but it is flexing my creativity. In a such a good way. Sometimes you have to just let it flow.
