Always making
The start of a painting is the hardest. The blank is all your fears and self doubt. I’ve been doing this a long time and I still get nervous. I try to get in front of the fear. Never let it get behind you.

I wish I had an answer to the young artists on how to exist in the creative process. You vanish kiddos. The parts of you get left in the most beautiful paintings and the light of that shines past you. No one is better then the work they make and no one is worse. It all just life.

I’ve seen so many of these as the years go by. I never imagined they would be fun with my art bags. I put things everywhere in my studio. It is a living animal. The parts are the fingers and the toes.

With time comes experience. Knowledge is not guaranteed. The stars don’t know they are stars, they just are. As far as we know that is. The question is will 6 of 30 teach me something when this all ends in 2019? All I have is hope and my camera.
The project is turning my brain around after 3 days. I’m seeing shots I could take in my daydreams. I guess I might make a book or add these to my next art book.
